Dia 4

Saimos do hotel às 11h em direção à Chapada dos Guimarães. Paramos em um vinhedo que tinha uma loja encantadora onde as pessoas compraram uvas e provolone crocante. Às 12h50min, cruzamos uma ponte bastante discreta para o nosso 4º estado, o Mato Grosso, passando pela cidade histórica de Alto Araguaia e depois pela BR-364, que nos levou novamente às paisagens da soja. Na estrada, avistamos um tatu canastra surpreendentemente grande correndo pelos campos. Logo a visão começou a mudar e finalmente chegamos às chapadas, caracterizadas por grandes falésias. Entramos na pequena cidade de Chapada do Guimarães e paramos em alguns hotéis procurando por uma boa acomodação. Nós nos instalamos na Pousada Portal da Chapada e fomos jantar em um restaurante que o gerente do hotel recomendara chamado Restaurante Popular. Estava bastante cheio e tivemos que sentar em 3 mesas diferentes. A comida era muito boa e com uma ótima relação custo / benefício.

Day 4

Left the hotel at 11am in direction of Chapada dos Guimaraes. We stopped off at a vineyard which had a lovely shop where people picked up grapes and crunchy provolone. At 12.50 we drove past a rather inconspicuous bridge into our 4th state namely Mato Grosso and past through the historic town of Alto Arguala and then onto the BR364 which took us once again into the soya landscapes. On the road we spotted an armadillo of canstra which a shockingly large armadillo running through the fields. Soon the view started to change and we finally arrived in the Chapadas distinguished by the large cliffs. We finally arrived in a town aptly named Chapada do Guimaraes and stopped at some hotels looking for a good one. We settled into the Pousada Portal da Chapada and the headed out for dinner in a restaurant the hotel manager had recommended named Restaurant Popular which was quite busy and we had to sit of 3 different table but the food was very good and impressively good value for money.
